Thriae II

Description

The Thriae were three sisters who frequented the Corycian Cave in the folds of Mt.Parnassos in Greece. In the Homeric Hymns, they were said to have taught the skill of prophecy and oracle to Apollo himself.

I have envisioned them as three pre or early Hellenic young women in front of the Corycian Cave. The pottery would be full of offerings from their visitors, most likely pure honey, which was said to make them utter 'true prophecy'. Their outfits are from various sources.

The three pictures fit together to form one continuous image.
